London!!!

So I finished off Africa with a bang and now I'm almost done with England. And I am officially not the man whore of the trip anymore :). I freeze to death (nearly) and eat ostrich.

The LAST DAY of Africa

So our friends who got tickets earlier worked out a deal to get their money back that they had to spend to change their flights. So Paul, Julie, and I went to Kenya Airways to get the money. Well they had no idea what we were talking about. We talked with them for 2 hours, but since we didn't have the reciepts nothing happened.

After that Julie and Paul were tired so we watched King Kong for $3. It really made me think about the concept of tameing love vs. letting love do it's natural thing. The natural thing lost which made me sad, darn beauty always messing with us Taoists.

After that we went to one of the 50 best restaurants in the world: The Carnivore. Here they served us all sorts of fun foods like roasted crocodile and ostrich meat balls. I stuffed myself so full. I also got pineapple pie!

After dinner we headed to the airport for a long wait. In line I met ANOTHER girl from Africa whos working on Computer Science and she wants to own her own business. But then we split up on the airplane. Just amazing how many women who know computers there are in Africa.

IN LONDON

So I have 7 minutes to describe to you some absolutely crazy things.

First off it's freezing cold. There is no sun in London and its near water. That and I did not bring anything but African clothes. But there's a happy ending.

We are staying at this sketchy Hostel for $30 a night next to glouchester street. The people are Syrian I think. They keep telling me to take a whole pineapple for breakfast. "Take it, take it" throwing it into my arms.

I went to Westminster Abbey and spent a good portion of the day there and went to evensong. I talked to an adult tourist during that time. At the end he gave me about $40 and told me to go buy a jacket. So I did. It was so nice, and surprising. (I really wasn't going to buy a jacket otherwise, as they are so expensive). I went to the Modern Art Museum today and saw some freaky stuff. The main exhibit was a bunch of cardboard boxes. Very strange.

I said good bye to Julie and then I'm takeing off to go clubbing at a place that seems to use glow and the dark paint. And then I'm going home. WOw.

The crazy part is I'm all alone in London. I will reflect more on this later.

Oh ya I saw the Lion King on the theatre the same day I was in Kenya :)
